Purpose

We encourage everyone at The Bridge to get connected into a group as soon as possible. There is no better way to get to know your neighbor than to share a meal! The groups are always adding new people to the group. As groups grow in number, we break into 2 groups meeting in different homes. Then we can continue to invite other people into group and before you know it, we are connected with a larger group of people.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-36 (NIV)

Focus

Small Groups focus on the Relational aspect of the triad without forfeiting the other two. Actually, each function of the church aligns itself with this process. BUT we are more than a relational element, we encourage open discussion and questions relating to Jesus and encourage everyone to be involved in missions – whether in their home or around the world – living a life connected.

Function

Functionally, we meet in groups of 12-14 adults in homes from Franklin to Columbia and all points in-between. Most of our groups meet with the family, including kids, so we can grow together. We think there is enough in our world today to segregate the family; we want to put it back together. The groups meet weekly, typically share a meal or snacks, take time to study and discuss specific areas in the Bible, and take some time to share needs and offer prayer to meet the needs. Most meetings last about 2 hours – including the meal time.
